It is believed that all white tigers in the world today are descendants of a white tiger called Mohan who was captured by Maharaja Martand Singh in Bandhavgarh in 1951
Bandhavgarh has 39 known ancient caves. They were believed to be used by monks and armies in the past, but now serve several animals, including tigers
It is home to about 40 species of mammals, over 250 birds species and close to 100 butterflies species
